The ten largest

One list. The rule is in the first card. It is a size on one date. It is not a judgement of which coin is better, and a place on the list is not a reason to buy, sell or hold anything.

Each coin's page has what was read about it, the price and the supply fields, a one-year series, and the checks that were and were not run.

Information, not advice. A clean result does not make anything a good investment.

How this list was chosen

On 26 Oct 2026 this site read CoinGecko's list of coins ordered by market value, in pounds. The address asked for the first page, twelve rows. This list keeps the first ten. There is no further filter: a stablecoin, a token CoinGecko had classed as credit, and an exchange's coin stay in if they are in those ten.

The public networks page, read on 21 Oct 2026, walked a market-value list and kept a coin when CoinGecko classed it as a layer 1, with one exception, and stopped at 12. It left out stablecoins such as Tether and USDC, Figure Heloc, and exchange tokens. The two lists are not the same reading, and this page does not treat the older categories as read again.

The same response had two further rows, kept only so the cutoff can be checked. That list was read in pounds. Hyperliquid (hype) was number 11, market value £13,150,226,184. Dogecoin (doge) was number 12, market value £9,033,970,600. They do not have a page here.

The ten names stay that 26 Oct 2026 selection. Their market values, prices and ranks below were read again at 12:11:15 UK time on 5 Nov 2026, in US dollars, ordered by market value on that reading. The switch at the top adds the same reading in pounds.

  • 1. Bitcoin (btc). Market value $1,610,686,853,221. Price $80,112. The page is Bitcoin.
  • 2. Ethereum (eth). Market value $294,975,465,651. Price $2,414.03. The page is Ethereum.
  • 3. Tether (usdt). Market value $178,268,204,725. Price $0.999408. The page is Tether.
  • 4. BNB (bnb). Market value $93,827,924,232. Price $713.46. The page is BNB.
  • 5. XRP (xrp). Market value $83,169,105,101. Price $1.31. The page is XRP.
  • 6. USDC (usdc). Market value $70,777,841,224. Price $0.999797. The page is USDC.
  • 7. Solana (sol). Market value $56,744,094,180. Price $96.13. The page is Solana.
  • 8. TRON (trx). Market value $30,253,472,687. Price $0.318369. The page is TRON.

  • 10. Zcash (zec). Market value $22,332,502,726. Price $1,311.77. The page is Zcash.

Market value and price are the fields in that response, in US dollars, with thousands separators only. With pounds on, the pound figure from a second call, made alongside it, follows in brackets. Each name links to its page.

Technical detail

The API terms, latest version 5 Sep 2025, were read on 30 Oct 2026. They say storage of the data is not encouraged, and that a stored copy should be refreshed at least every 24 hours. This site's server asks CoinGecko's Demo API for these figures at most once every 24 hours, and shows a saved copy if CoinGecko cannot be read. These figures were read at 12:11:15 UK time on 5 Nov 2026. They are that reading, not a live price.

The terms require the message “Powered by CoinGecko”, in a legible font no smaller than size 10, beside the figures. They say the data is provided “as is” and “as available”, and that CoinGecko does not warrant that it is accurate, up to date, or free of omissions. Any reliance on it for a financial decision is at the reader's own risk.

Those terms grant a limited licence. They allow a charge for a product that uses the API. They do not permit selling, renting, leasing, sub-licensing, re-distributing or syndicating access to the API, unless an executed agreement with CoinGecko says so. This site shows figures read on its server. It does not offer the API. The attribution guide, read the same day, asks for the credit close to the figures and says not to suggest that CoinGecko endorses the site. The keyless API page, read the same day, says those endpoints are not recommended for production, because the calls share a limit of about 5 a minute, and that they are not suitable for scheduled polling. This site uses a Demo API key on the server and asks at most once every 24 hours.
