Crypto Scan · token check

Check a token

Enter a token's contract address and choose its chain. You'll see, in plain English, what the token's code lets its owner do. The same address is compared with a saved copy of the UK Sanctions List. Nothing you enter is stored, and nothing is sent to the contract.

How this check works

Choose Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Smart Chain Mainnet, Base Mainnet or Arbitrum One Mainnet. The same address can be a different contract on each chain.

The check reads the token's verified source on Sourcify when it is published. When Sourcify has no source for an address that has code, it follows standard proxy pointers and walks the compiled runtime bytecode for four-byte public function selectors instead, stating what bytecode cannot show. It looks for code that can create more tokens, freeze or wipe a balance, pause transfers, change the code, block an address, or take a fee. The address is also compared on this site's server with the UK Sanctions List file of 30 Oct 2026, read on 31 Oct 2026. That comparison does not send the address to the FCDO.

Information, not advice. A clean result does not make anything a good investment.

Chain

The same address can be a different contract on each chain.

This reads verified source on Sourcify when it is published, or the on-chain bytecode when it is not, and compares the address with a saved copy of the UK Sanctions List. It does not look up a name.

Enter a token contract address.
